Charlton Heston died the night of April 5th at the age of 84.
I'm sure all you young people are going to go WHO? but if you don't know who Charlton Heston is, than you've missed out on a great actor. He starred in 'Ben Hur', 'Ten Commandments', Planet of the Apes', 'Soylent Green' and 'The Omega Man'. Although I've only seen a handful of his films, I thought he was a great actor, hell sometimes an over-actor and in many ways I saw him as a Lon Chaney without all the crazy make-up. I'll be honest, I cried my eyes out when I heard this news. Months ago, I decided to have my Halloween costume to be Charlton Heston's character from 'Soylent Green' because I LOVE that movie and since I've trying to get into more classic films, I thought it was fitting.
This is a totally lame tribute..I know lol but I don't have to time to do anything major at the moment so I doodled this real quick. I'm wearing my Soylent Green costume and half-burying a statue of Liberity in reference to Planet of the Apes.
